Access
To gain access to any area of the Centre you must be a staff member, enrolled parent or a staff member of Edge Church who has undergone a Police Check.
Visitors to the Centre can only gain access with the assistance of a staff member of the Centre or Edge Church. An intercom is located at the main gate to enable visitors to communicate with Centre staff before being allowed to enter Edge Kids Life.
Wherever a doubt exists, access will be denied. If further investigation is required it will occur outside of the general access areas of the Child Care Centre.
Parental Requirements
As a part of the enrolment process parents will be given a PIN code to enable access to the Centre through the main gate. Parents will also receive a login number on their first day and will be required to log their children in and out at each visit.
Under no circumstance may any person pass their PIN code, login number or other security information of any kind to another person.
The Edge Kids Life Director is responsible to ensure that this process is maintained and will reiterate requirements in the event of non-adherence. As necessary the Director may limit access rights and even remove enrolment rights in cases of repeated or extreme breaches.
Parents are required to notify Centre staff if a person other than the parent will be collecting a child. Security details MUST NEVER be passed to other persons asked to collect children. Such persons will need to press the call button at the main gate and await assistance from a staff member.
